While in Bali..exploring my feminine...

For a very long time I worked very hard to achieve my goals and people around me used to say I am a “tough cookie”, a “go getter” sometimes a “robot”.

And I took pride in it, because I thought that meant I was strong and powerful. It was only years after when my body crashed that I realised that those were not actually compliments, but indications that I was burning the candle at both ends and I was not aligned with my intrinsic energy. I was on the unconscious hamster wheel.

We all have an intrinsic energy that guides us through life.

It fuels our passions, drives our ambitions, and nurtures our inner well-being. This energy is a delicate mix between force and flow, structure and intuition, doing and being, soft and strong. It is what we call the balance between masculine and feminine energy.

Learning about these concepts was a mind-blowing experience, it was as if a new world just opened and I could finally see myself and understand myself better. And so, I embarked on the journey of tantra, and studied to become a tantra facilitator.

Ok, but what is this masculine, feminine energy? It’s not about sex, it is about intrinsic qualities that we all possess regardless if we are men or women.

Understanding Masculine and Feminine Energy

Masculine energy is often associated with action, logic, structure, and productivity. It’s the drive that pushes us forward, helping us set goals, take risks, and create structure in our lives.

On the other hand, feminine energy is intuitive, creative, nurturing, receptive, flowing, soft. It allows us to slow down, listen to our inner voice, and embrace rest and reflection.

As human beings, we all embody both energies, regardless of gender.

The key to a fulfilling and balanced life is learning how to harmonize them. However, modern society tends to emphasize masculine energy—constant productivity, efficiency, and achievement—while undervaluing the importance of rest, creativity, and emotional well-being.

The Danger of Over-Reliance on Masculine Energy

We live in a culture that glorifies hustle, long hours, and measurable success, all these are masculine energy traits. Many high-achieving women find themselves caught in this cycle, pushing harder and harder, only to end up feeling exhausted, disconnected, and unfulfilled. But in reality, when we ignore our feminine energy—our need for rest, connection, and creativity—we risk burnout.

Also, we hide ourselves behind the mask of “strong independent woman”, denying our vulnerability…Some of us even forgot how to ask for help. As a result, men feel emasculated and so another vicious circle begins….

Sure, as women we had to fight for our rights, and we still have to fight for certain rights, but we should not lose ourselves in the process…

Look at many of the women in power, they may be women, but they act like men. Because the standard for establishing equality is that of a man. How often do we hear “whatever a man can do I can do”? The discussion shouldn’t be whatever a man can do I can do, the question should be “am I capable of doing this job”, regardless of the sex.

We are chasing fake equality because as women compare ourselves with men, so the premises is wrong to start of with: how can we compare apples with pears?

Men and women are different by their very nature.

This however does not mean that one is superior to the other, it simply means that we are different, and we should learn to complement one another, playing at our strengths, and not compete against each other, both in our professional and personal life.

I believe in equality of opportunity, but not in equality between sexes as a blanket statement because I find it incomplete and inaccurate and has a detrimental effect both on men and women.

Without balance, we operate in “survival” mode, always chasing the next goal but never feeling truly at peace, always trying to prove ourselves, always chasing and fighting an invisible enemy. It’s like running on a treadmill that never stops.

Eventually, our body, mind, and spirit demand rest, often in the form of exhaustion, dissatisfaction, or even physical symptoms.

The Power of Feminine Energy in Achieving Success

Balancing our masculine and feminine energy doesn’t mean abandoning ambition or productivity—it means integrating both forces so they work together.

Imagine a life where you set bold goals but also allow yourself time to recharge. Where you take decisive action but also trust your intuition. Where you embrace structure but remain flexible to change.

When we honor our feminine energy, we create space for creativity, joy, and self-care. We learn to listen to our bodies, recognize when we need rest, and trust that slowing down can actually propel us forward. Feminine energy helps us cultivate deeper relationships, embrace mindfulness, and move toward our dreams with a sense of ease rather than sheer force.

Sounds great right? But how do you achieve this balance.

The first step is awareness: understanding how you function and being aware of the energy you bring to everyday life.

How to Rebalance Your Energy

Here are some ways to restore balance:

  1. Prioritize Rest and Self-Care – Schedule downtime without guilt. Rest isn’t laziness; it’s essential for long-term success.

  2. Listen to Your Intuition – Instead of forcing decisions, take time to reflect and trust your inner wisdom.

  3. Engage in Creative Activities – Creativity fuels feminine energy. Try journaling, painting, dancing, or any activity that allows self-expression. Creation doesn’t have to be artistic, it can be cooking a new recipe, it could redecorating a room…it is anything that allows your brain to flow freely and explore…

  4. Practice Mindfulness and Presence – Slow down and appreciate the moment instead of constantly chasing the next goal.

  5. Embrace Flow Over Force – Not everything needs to be planned or controlled. Allow space for spontaneity and organic growth.

The list can go on, but I hope these will give you an idea to start with.

Creating a Life of Alignment

In my opinion, true success isn’t just about checking off achievements—it’s about feeling fulfilled, aligned, and at peace with the life you’re creating. By balancing both energies, you can build a life that feels both purposeful and sustainable, where success is accompanied by joy and well-being.
