I am tired... I need a change!

Lack of motivation, exhaustion, burnout, feeling stuck... they don't happen over night and is not the result of one thing. It is usually the result of many factors that add up, until one day you have had enough...

I like to think of this place as an island, where everything seems difficult and sometimes life can feel like an uphill struggle. I call this Island A

ISLAND A

You feel

Like you are going to crash, but from the outside it looks like you have it all figure out.

Easily irritated, frustrated and angry.

Nobody understands you and you can't really explain your pain and frustration.

Feel hopeless and helpless.

There must be more to life than this.

You need a change but don't know where to start.

You feel stuck, and want to change something but are scared.

Looks like

Like you have it all figured out but you feel like you are dying on the inside.

You have a chaotic busy life or you procrastinate a lot.

You have no time for family and friends.

No time for dating.

You are very productive and have a lot of ambition and stamina.

You constantly

Beat yourself up and

overthink.

Are your biggest critic.

Neglect yourself and your social life.

Obsessed with doing everything right.

And sometimes you are so stressed about something that you end up not doing it or sabotaging yourself.

You fear

You are going to disappoint others.

That you are not good enough or you have impostor syndrome.

Fear you won't deliver high quality results.

Feel strong peer pressure and want to fit in.

Fear that someone is going to realise that you are a fraud.

Fear that others will get better opportunities than you.

Fear that if you don't do it nobody will.

Do you resonate with Island A ? Be radically honest with yourself.

If you landed on this page, chances are you resonate with many of those things.

And you probably want more from life than to survive and feel permanently exhausted & stuck.

You want to move from Island A to Island B, where you live a happy balanced sustainable life, that makes you feel fulfilled and happy to wake up in the morning and start a new day.

You feel

Good about yourself and your life.

Inspired and full of energy.

Happy to be alive & thirsty for life.

Excited about new opportunities & open to different things.

Fulfilled and appreciated.

Ready to share your burden.

Ready to let go of perfectionism and control.

Looks like

You have time for energising activities.

You have a peaceful happy life.

You have time for family and friends.

Have time for dating.

You feel calm and at ease.

Don't take yourself too seriously.

You know your worth and practice self love.

You constantly

Spend quality time doing things you love.

Are compassionate with yourself  and others.

Take care of yourself and your social life.

Learn from your mistakes and move on.

You Learn

To set boundaries and honour your needs.

About your strengths and weaknesses and work with them.

To stay true to yourself.

About your values and what makes your heart beat with joy.

You become realistic about your self imposed restrictions.

Do your best and see constructive criticism as a way to learn.

ISLAND B

You look at Island B and your heart goes a full YES! That's what I want.

But you wonder how to get there?

Ok but what are my options if I embark on this journey? Where might I land?

It all depended on the various factors that brought you to this point in your life, and no individual story is the same.

Come in guys,
its not that
deep.

My approach:

  1. It is normal to be exhausted after years of living in survival mode and high adrenaline.  Rest, recharge, softness and compassion are essential to be able to tackle any challenge.  Once we reached a base recovery phase we need to figure out the root cause of the burnout, exhaustion, feeling stuck.

  2. After that we work on limiting beliefs and the boundaries around it and our relationship with our own masculine and feminine energy.

  3. Once we gained enough clarity about what is actually going on, only then take a decision on the next steps forward and start putting them in action.

The most important things to keep in mind:

  1. Transformation is not easy because you have to deconstruct all the social conditioning ingrained in our heads over the years, to then be able to really see what we truly want, and this takes an open mind, time and patience.

  2. We all  have blind spots that we have to uncover, otherwise we would not be in this situation

  3. You have to be ready to let go of old habits, patterns, people, environments that no longer serve you.

  4. You must learn to give yourself more credit for your achievements

  5. You will be triggered, and many uncomfortable things will come up, but the trick is not to suppress them and try to sit with it and see what it is trying to communicate to you.

  6. You need a new soft and more gentle approach to things, you cannot heal from burnout by applying the same methods you have so far, by pushing yourself hard.

  7. Something has to change, because that work hard/overachiever mentality drove you to the burnout in the first place. Working hard is important but needs to be balanced with equal periods of rest and nourishment.

  8. Nourishment is not just physical, but also emotional and intellectual.

  9. Some days you will feel like you are stuck and that’s ok, that’s your system telling you that you needs a break.

  10. Learning to say no will become one of your most important life skills. Sometimes saying no will feel difficult and uncomfortable but you have to stick with it, and it will become easier in time. It takes practice to set up and implement boundaries.

  11. People will try to push you and challenge you to go back to your old ways, don’t give in. It will take some time to build this muscle.

  12. You will feel tired sometimes, coming out of a prolonged period of stress and fatigue means your whole system needs a break. Think of it as a system reboot if you like.

My key principles are:

  1. Awareness and patience – becoming aware of what is keeping you stuck and having patience with yourself in the process.

  2. Bravery – Having the courage to look inside, take responsibility for yourself.

  3. Commitment – To work on yourself, make and implement the necessary changes.

Women burn out because they are expected to constantly be productive, hold a job, take care of the family, and be all soft and feminine while fully independent...

And men struggle to find their place in this new world, where more and more women act from a masculine energy...

Both are out of balance...

I can offer support, guidance and tools.

This is your journey, so be ready to do the work!
