The Concept

Meditation & Art: The art of letting go!

I have been painting, drawing, dancing, and writing since I learned how to write and walk. But my conscious self-development journey with art as a form of meditation, mindfulness and self-discovery started in 2012 when I lived in Paris. At the time I joined a group of like-minded people and together we started exploring the museums, parcs and streets of Paris combining art with a desire to dig deep into our soul, let go of what no longer serves us and unleash our inner child. When I moved (to London & Brussels) I organized some events there as well.

My passion for art, spirituality & self-development was always there, and I would like to continue on this path…

For me art is a form or expression. A way to express what the soul cannot translate into language. It doesn’t matter whether it is in the form of drawing, dancing, singing, writing… there is a lot to be said by letting go and allowing the creative juices flow.

No experience required. These workshops are not designed for training, to become an “artist”, but they are designed to help you let go, relax, explore the depths of your soul and come together in community and share ourselves.

During the workshop we will start with a short meditation and then will engage in a number of exercises designed to help you relax, bring your focus and attention to the present moment, and allow yourself to flow with whatever wants to come out. Every workshop is based on a theme, and we will be exploring various concepts and ideas around that theme. For example: letting go, boundaries, love, limiting beliefs to name just a few

Community rules

•There are no rules to being creative, but we have some general rules for the community, to ensure that the workshops flow with ease and everyone feels safe to express themselves.

•If you attend a workshop you are expected to come with an open mind, non-judgement, and an open compassionate heart.

Admin & organisation

•The events take place in the parc Cinquentenaire. If the weather is bad, we will reschedule.

•Bring a bottle of water and something to sit on, like a yoga mat, blanket or in alternative you can sit on grass.

•Drawing pad, pencils, colors and a thick cardboard or something similar because sometimes we will be standing, so you will need something to rest your paper against. If you don’t have any paper and colors don’t worry, I will bring some extra.

•The workshop will last approximately 2 hrs.

•Kids, pets, musical instruments are welcome.

•Optional: snacks to share.

Art enables us to find ourselves and lose ourselves at the same time.

I attended one of Florina's classes and she stands out to me as a facilitator in her ability to make you feel both comfortable and loved - yet able to push you to get past your comfort zone, when needed. She is warm and loving by nature, yet strong and encouraging when the moment calls for it. It's a very special quality, with the ability to help people get past "comfortable" and really improve their mental health and their life. Florina has it. I would highly recommend working with her.
